Reception Manager – Full Time 40 Hours - Fareham Collingwood


New Year, new role? From January 2018 we are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Reception Manager to join our Veterinary practice team. You will be able to work diligently and proactively, have a passion for pets and great interpersonal skills for this leadership role. You will report directly to the Joint Venture Partners and will be a key colleague in supporting and leading the existing reception team colleagues.

The role is full time and 40 hours per week and will include hours of weekend work, on a rota of one in four weekends.

As a Reception Manager for our surgery, your duties will include:-

  • Assisting the team in managing appointment bookings and client registration both face to face and by telephone, in a professional and efficient manner using the in-practice database system.
  • Organising training and team meetings for the reception team.
  • Agreeing and delivering targets with Joint Venture Partners for focus areas throughout the year.
  • Successfully completing Inductions for new colleagues.
  • Receiving and welcoming clients and the patients for appointments, being sensitive to their needs and promoting a professional image at all times and ensuring client issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining and growing product and services knowledge and be able to advise clients, train colleagues and sell these when appropriate.
  • Lead the other members of the team to ensure that the reception and other areas of the practice are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and are presentable at all times.
  • Assume responsibility for managing patient Health Care Plans, processing Insurance Claims, record keeping, debt collection, client and general administration duties both within the Practice and with Out of Hours and Referral Partners.

Applicants must be approachable and client focused individuals who can demonstrate an aptitude for multi-tasking in what can be a busy but exciting environment. The successful candidate will possess confidence to answer clients telephone queries, have proficient IT and administration skills, be a clear communicator and share the Partner’s enthusiasm for providing an efficient, client focused service, whilst being a supportive and target focused leader.
