Practice Manager - Essex

Practice Manager required for busy and expanding equine (6 clinicians) & small animal practice (2 clinicians), based in Essex.

The successful candidate must have managerial experience & equestrian knowledge, however experience in the veterinary industry is not essential.

We are looking for a highly motivated person who is resourceful, has exceptional organisational, planning and strong leadership skills, who will work closely with our office/nursing team to deliver excellent customer service. This role will involve day to day, management of the practice, business development and HR.

Package includes a generous salary dependent on experience, 29 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays), and a Company Pension. CPD is encouraged.

Below is a summary of the duties that would be expected of the successful candidate:

  • Ensuring the smooth running of the practice.
  • Making decisions on the day to day running of the practice
  • Operational planning
  • Client debt control
  • Recruitment
  • Staff training
  • Staff management
  • Marketing
  • Human resource management
  • Management of all supplier contracts including insurance policies, equipment and Building
      Maintenance and utility contracts.
  • Responsibility for health and safety compliance across the practice.
  • Responding to the Director, staff and client queries
  • Covering reception as and when needed
  • General administrative tasks including managing the website and social media platforms
