Role: Practice Manager

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum

We are a successful expanding 2 branch small animal veterinary practice based in Halifax and we are looking for a practice manager possibly with clinical knowledge to join our team.

This role is critical to the efficient and profitable operation of the practice and as the practice manager you will report directly to the practice owner. You will be responsible for driving the financial and service level performance of the practice, the management of staff and the day to day running of the practices in conjunction with the practice owner.

The successful candidate will possess a high level of drive and personal motivation, as well as being highly organised and IT literate. The ability to communicate and influence, along with a diplomatic approach engendering trust and loyalty is essential.

Account Manager / Claims Handler

£30,000 OTE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, VN, ideally with practice management experience to be involved in a business from its very start up. Our client is a proven service provider in the insurance sector and is developing a brand new pet insurance product. Our client has already secured the business of over 60 veterinary practices and this number is growing.

The ideal candidate will be required to utilise their expert knowledge gained in the field of veterinary nursing (nor necessarily registered)and practice management to provide invaluable support in all levels of this venture. Your experience will be used from initial start up through to launch and evaluation. Once established the successful candidate will be responsible for the claims handling of all claims, further utilising their nursing background.

Insurance experience is not essential as full training will be given. The role will involve extensive travel around the UK and evenings away from home so a flexible attitude to working is essential. Also experience of dealing with people at all levels would be beneficial as relationships with clients, customers and our clients directors will be a key part of this role. Working to tight and shifting deadlines and invariably working under pressure will be familiar aspects of this challenging role.
