PRACTICE MANAGER

Required to cover maternity leave (with the possibility of becoming permanent) at a 100% small animal first opinion and referral practice in Epping, Harlow and Woodford.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day management of the practice, the personnel management of the reception staff and administrative support. They will be work alongside the Head Nurse and the Accounts Manager and will report to the Partners.

Veterinary practice experience will be essential. Excellent communication and leadership skills will be required. The position will involve some secretarial work and an understanding of computer and IT systems.

Practice Manager (Derby – 12 month Maternity Cover)
Both positions are full time

Working as part of the Scarsdale Veterinary Group, means you will be joining a dedicated and hardworking team whose aim is to offer excellent client care and animal welfare .

Junior Practice Manager
Salary £17,500 to £19,500
Excellent opportunity to move into junior management role. Liaising with managers and senior staff both in-house and from other practices. You will be required to attend and have input in various practice meetings at branch level. Some Credit Control knowledge would also be advantageous as you will be working closing with our Credit Controller. Competent in Word and Excel.

Practice Manager (12 Month Maternity Cover)
Salary £19,500 to £21,000
(With a busy expanding practice this role may develop further after the 12 month maternity period is completed)
Experience at management level is desirable as you will be responsible for a large reception team and supervising the running of the smaller branch surgeries. Overseeing accounting procedures and credit control at branch level. Working as part of the management team you will be liaising with other heads of department and various contractors and suppliers. You will have proven administration and accounting experience to assist you in this demanding position. Candidates should also have proven skills in Word and Excel along with a sound knowledge of IT, which will be beneficial in this role.

All candidates should possess excellent communication and organisation skills, be dedicated to animal welfare and have the desire to progress and continue their professional development. Experience of working with the public, and a knowledge of veterinary practice and procedures would be beneficial in both these roles.

Working a 37.5 hour week, with 25 days holiday rising to 30 days with service, fully funded CPD, twice yearly annual bonus and pet health care scheme.

Full training will be given, as well as full support from the Partners, General Manager and Personnel Manager.
