The Association holds an annual conference, management days and practice management seminars at other veterinary association meetings; organises regional management groups and meetings and has an active eGroup, a communication network through which members can exchange information, ideas and experiences.

The Association’s journal, Veterinary Management for Today, is the leading management journal for the profession which provides members with information on all aspects of management.

Free online legal support is available exclusively to members from Howell Jones Solicitors and exclusive discounts on practice legal fees are available through Rickerbys.  Information on these and a range of other benefits including discounts on consultancy services, textbooks and private health care is available from the Secretariat.

Members are eligible to undertake the association’s qualifications. The Certificate in Veterinary Practice Management (CVPM) is designed to be immediately relevant to managers and employers in general practice and to indicate that the successful candidate has the appropriate knowledge, experience and expertise to manage a practice. It is the only peer-reviewed qualification in veterinary practice management in the UK. The Veterinary Practice Administration Certificate (VPAC) is designed to cover the skills required to carry out administrative tasks efficiently with the minimum of supervision and to be able to present the finished task to the supervisor, manager or employer.

Simply complete the Application Form and submit this to the VPMA Secretariat.  All new members are approved by the VPMA Council and, upon approval, you will be sent your membership pack and password for accessing the members only section of the website.
